In the face of adversity and uncertainty, you have to be brave. Being brave gives you an advantage.
It allows you to think and use a rational decision-making process.
If you are enveloped by fear you will be drowned by your emotions. This deprives you of being objective in discerning our current realities.
Emotions block you from harnessing the power of your rational mind. Soldiers who wanted to live are afraid of dying but because they are brave they are able to use their mind to create strategies that help them avoid danger and increase their chances of victory.
To emphasize the power of being brave, William Faulkner said, “You cannot swim for new horizons until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.”
Be brave. Rejoice the there is adversity, an opportunity for growth and progress.

The wise man listens to meaning, the fool only gets the noise. Nassim Nicholas Taleb
There is so much noise. A lot of gibberish and rubbish talk from different media platforms about the pandemic.
If you are drowning like me about the information on what to do and what not to do. Your ears are swollen for absorbing political and academic bickerings. It is time to shut it down.
Go to your favorite corner. Summon silence.
Go to your favorite corner. Summon silence.
It is time to ask yourself what is the deeper meaning that the pandemic wanted to tell you.
Remember your WILL POWER is directly energized by your WHY POWER.

Peace must be found in the imperfect present.
This is difficult to take. But was there ever a moment in the history of man and your life that perfection was achieved?
What is happening right now is part of the cycle of life. This is not the first time that pandemic took place, and this will not be the last time that it will occur.
Therefore, as humans, we must accept the imperfect present. Acceptance of the situation will give us peace.
Being at peace will give us better ways and actions.
For entrepreneurs, the imperfect situation offers new opportunities. For a person, this can offer a new way of looking at current relationships with families and friends. For ourselves, a new way of seeing our beings.
Wash away your worries. All things will come to pass. We are part of a time capsule, a moment of history. We have no power to stop this from happening.
What we have is the power to make peace with what is in front of us and act to mitigate it or create a better us.
Create a better self.

Difficulty is what wakes up the genius. Nassim Nicholas Taleb
Are you having difficulty in our current situation? If yes, don't feel you are alone. Almost all of us are feeling the strain and pain of being abruptly stopped in our daily routines.
Our new lifestyle is a stranger to all of us. This stranger is also responsible for the loss of our income. Aggravating what is already a hard situation.
The good thing is this difficulty will lead you to new opportunities and alternatives that will become an additional livelihood or tool once the pandemic is over.
It will awaken the sleeping giant. You are that giant that is keeping a lot of talents and gifts not yet harnessed.
Dry your tears away. Kill that worry and fear. Dive deep into your hearts and minds. Discover the genius in you.
You have been and always is a powerful force of nature.

The more we value things outside our control, the less control we have - Epictetus
In the book of Stephen Covey " 7 Habits of Effective People" he mentioned about the Circle of Concerns and the Circle of Influence. His main advice is to work on your Circle of Influence - these are things that you have direct control and can make a change or impact when you make a decision.
Oftentimes, we work on our Circle of Concern, a circle that is bigger than us and where we have no control. This can lead to frustrations and hopelessness.
Avoid this predicament. Work only on your Circle of Influence. In the light of what is going around us, your Circle of Influence, first and foremost, is the protection and sustenance of your family.
If you have more resources, you can make a positive impact on your nearby community.
The point is to use your energy to where you have power over the outcome. Don't waste it on things that are above.
Be impactful.

Man is affected not by events but by the view he takes of them.
They said between Stimulus and response is a big space where you have a choice. Today is the 11 days of lockdown, and if you are one of them that is losing hope or feeling sad because of your circumstances don't be.
There are a lot of positive ways and views that you can use in what is happening right now. For one, the air outside is cleaner, and the sky bluer. Yes, there are positive things happening right now.
Another obvious and heartwarming thing going on right now is how Filipinos are helping each other and honoring our front-liners that are taking a big risk in curbing the pandemic
We also see our citizens demanding our political leaders to do the right thing and calling out those that are abusing their powers.
Clearly, we are not affected by the event or we cannot be affected by the events if we have the right appreciation of those events.
Your reaction to the events is more important. And it is within your power how to react to our current situation.
