It has been reported that the think-tank of Ayala Corporation, one of the biggest conglomerates in the country, helped the company's growth.
Its chairman and CEO Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala said in a speech that the said division, named Ayala Innovation, helped drive the conglomerate's growth. Recently, Ayala has invested in healthcare, education, e-commerce and financial technologies.
"Innovation and inclusiveness are not just within the purview of small companies. In fact, in light of today’s volatile times, I believe that conglomerates, given their sizable capabilities, can accelerate industry competitiveness and inclusive development through innovation," Zobel de Ayala told the participants of the Inclusive Innovation Conference just last week.
The following statements from Zobel de Ayala confirmed that they know very well what innovation is. "Innovation should serve a clear purpose. Innovation should address a problem or an unmet need—whether to improve business efficiency or to increase the affordability and accessibility of essential products and services to meet a broader segment of the population," he added.
This is a proof why your company should have its own think-tank - a group of innovators - to grow it. Innovate or perish - this is the new game for companies and organizations alike.
If your business is struggling to have its own think-tank, it's time to see the Innovation Master Class this June 23, Friday. This one-day innovation training workshop led by Mazars Asia Pacific's Innovation Evangelist David Nosibor, helps you get on the right track. Seats are filling up, so hurry and call (+63 2) 633-0153, 643-3887 or 535-1150; SMS (+63) 920 924 2532 or (+63) 920 981 4376; email info@exlinkevents.com or message us on our Master Class Philippines Facebook page.

Delivery of quality is an
aspect of event management that clients look for.
There are two levels of
delivering quality. First, deliver quality by delivering the agreed scope of
work that the clients wanted you to do. This is called the technical delivery
of quality.
Second, we are in a business
of relationship and the clients are humans too. This is the reason why deliver
quality based on emotion.
How? Surprise the clients,
do the extra mile, make a real connection and let the clients feel how involved
and invested you are in the success of his event.
Most of the times, the first
level of delivering quality is achieved. But clients do not make a repeat business
after that. We scratch our head what happened. What have we overlooked to lose the
business?
The answer resides in the
second level. It is up to us to figure out and work harder to fulfill that
second level of connection.

You can be mediocre. You can deliver more than expected.
You can be indifferent. You can choose to contribute and be valuable.
You can aim for the money and a short term relationship. You can show how good and important you are and gain a long partnership.
You can do underhanded tactics or play above-the-table. You can be disrespectful or choose the higher ground and show a character that a lot of people can emulate.
The event management industry is like the Star Wars Movie, you can go to the Dark Side or choose to stay, even if it is difficult, to be on the Light Side.
The force is in the middle it is up to you to tilt it to what direction you wanted to tilt it.
As an event management professional, there is always a choice.

disposable incomes, consumers were encouraged to shop in higher quantities and
to spend on more expensive products in 2016. Grocery retailers enjoyed bigger
baskets, whilst non-grocery re tailers saw an increased pref erence for and
appreciation of higher-priced merchandise. This can be attributed to the
continued inflow of remittances from OFW (overseas Filipino workers) and to the
sustained growth of the BPO (business process outsourcing) sector, along with a
lower inflation rate. Accordingly, retail players strived to expand to underserved
markets, whilst new players sought to penetrate and gain from the growth in the
market.”

So you think you have what it takes to be an event
management professional.
To be one, you have to start from zero. You cannot
automatically be an officer or leader of the team, start from the beginning.
So the more important question is are you willing to
sacrifice in order to pursue your passion?
Sacrifice entails hard work and doing things that you are
not comfortable doing. If you are looking at the bigger picture, and have
patience then the beginning steps are nothing to you.
If you are willing to give your heart and soul to that
beginning, a wonderful event management career awaits you.
This rule applies to those who wanted to make a career shift
and recent graduates.
I understand that we are in a fast paced life, that instant
gratification is the rule of thumb. However, you cannot grow a robust tree in
an instant, and you are aiming to be a strong and prolific tree, therefore,
there is a process.
But yes, you can cut short the process, and get promoted fast if you have proven
and delivered the initial results on your first assignments.
Results is king in the event management
world.
So if you are willing and accepting this reality, take the
plunge and welcome to the exciting world of event management.
And by the way, we are accepting applicants just send your
resume at info@exlinkevents.com and
if you interest us, we will reply and invite you to take an exam and be
interviewed by our managers.
See you soon :)
