Pag-IBIG Fund joins the OFW
SME Christmas Expo set this December 15-16 at the Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall.
The Home Development Mutual
Fund (HDMF) or popularly known as the Pag-IBIG Fund was created to serve as an
answer to the need for a national savings program and an affordable shelter
financing for the Filipino worker.
The fund was established on
June 11, 1978 by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1530 primarily addressing
the savings program and shelter financing, through the years, these law has
evolved and was improved by succeeding decrees and laws.
Pag-IBIG is an acronym, which stands for Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industria at Gobyerno.
To this day, the Pag-IBIG Fund continues to harness these four sectors of the
society to work together towards providing Fund members with adequate housing
through an effective savings scheme.
One of
the programs of Pag-IBIG is the OFW Dagdag Ipon Raffle Promo Part 3, a shot to win
$10,000, valid only for Pag -IBIG OFW members only.
The promotion is open to
all qualified Pag-IBIG OFW members who will remit a minimum of P600 Pag-IBIG I
membership savings (MS) in a single transaction within the raffle period from
June 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015.
“Pag-IBIG Fund encourages
our hardworking kabayans to save more for their future by doing regular
remittances with us. With their positive responses, we gave something back in
return by having these series of promotions that will give them an opportunity
to win valuable rewards including the grand draw prize of $10,000,” Lowella
Recto, Member Services Officer of Pag-Ibig Fund in Dubai (Kabayan
Weekly).
In addition, Recto said
other lucky OFWs could win iPhone 6, 13-inch MacBook Air and round trip tickets
from the UAE to the Philippines.
