ASEAN Integration: Philippines Gears up in the Beauty, Health and Wellness Industry

The Philippines being one of the faster economies in the
ASEAN region is beefing up its policies and mechanisms in order to take
advantage of the ASEAN Integration that will start next year.
One of the sunshine industries in the Philippines is the
beauty, health and wellness. In the cosmetics industry alone, the Philippines registered
a 7.7% growth per annum, with sales valued at $2.2 Billion. In addition, there
are 70,000 sari-sari stores all over the country, making the beauty, health and
wellness products accessible to the market.
The 2nd
International Beauty, Health and Wellness Expo, set this August 28-30, 2014
at the SMX Convention Center, is a business promotion platform created to
assist the ASEAN products and services to find its way in the Philippine
Market.
Companies from Japan, Korea, China, Germany and Singapore
plus local companies and distributors in the Philippines join the event. Some

Besides the trade show, the 2nd International Beauty, Health and Wellness Expo has
several co-located events. One of it is
the National Wellness Summit, an
event organized by the People Management
Association of the Philippines (PMAP) and supported by the Management Association of the Philippines
(MAP).
The National Wellness Summit is an event that aims to create
awareness on how to improve the wellness in the workplace.
Besides this, there will be make-up demonstrations, fitness
demonstrations, and educational presentations that will be conducted during the
three-day event.
Beauty, health and wellness entrepreneurs and enthusiasts are
expected to visit the three-day event. Last year 3,000 visitors, majority
entrepreneurs visited the expo.
