International Travel Festival Lends a Helping Hand to the Victims of Typhoon Haiyan
Monday, November 25, 2013
The upcoming International
Travel Festival takes a new meaning because of the recent developments in
our country.
The International
Travel Festival slated December 10-11, 2013 at SMX Convention Center is an
annual event that offers travel and tour packages for early planners of their
2014 vacation. Specifically, the event targets the invited OFWs, OFW Families
and Balikbayans of the co-located event: MegaBalikbayan
OFW Expo, an event that offers business opportunities.
The event will have a benefit concert at night dubbed: Pinoy Bayanihan, a benefit concert that
will give all proceeds to supporting organizations and to the Philippine
National Red Cross. The concert will run for two days at around 7:00pm – 9:00pm
at the stage of the expo hall. Various artists volunteered for free to perform
in this event.
The International
Travel Festival is an event that helps bolster the tourism industry in the
country. The Department of Tourism expects a setback because of the damages
Typhoon Haiyan brought to the country. The International
Travel Festival aims to help in alleviating the impact of that Typhoon
Haiyan caused.
