I just want to say something about this event that has already run for eight years; it is an event that must continue to live its identity.

Cinemalaya must always be for creating films for the purpose of self expression and exploration of the artist perspective in matters around him without being shackled by the demands of commercialism.

If it stays true to itself then it will continue to produce films that are fresh and with messages that encourage critical thinking.

I can never have enough of Cinemalaya. I already am looking forward for next year!
